Belle’s Gold Ballgown will be available for purchase as a custom order in March 2014 in my Etsy Store. One of the pictures, above, shows a double puffed sleeve, but the custom order is for a single puff sleeve. The dress will be available in Gold, as shown, Ivory/White with crystal trim and small sweep or train, and Classic Yellow.

These costumes were made for a local theatre production and are living a second time in another production of Beauty and the Beast.

The Big Bad Wolf Costume

This wolf costume was upgraded for Halloween.
Original Wolf Costume

Notice the foot covers without claws and the white claws on the gloves. Also, the back is open and closes at the top with a tie.

New Mask

New Mask (unfinished)

Replacement mask. Note the light blue color of the cap.

Big Bad Wolf Apron

The Apron was constructed by Sew Lacey and the flowers were painted by Cotton Costumes.

New Mask (painted)

New Mask (painted)

To darken the cap on the mask, navy (latex based) paint was added.  Also, the mask was floppy, so snaps were added to the inside of the mask and to the costume to keep it in place.

Wolf Claws

The customer purchased new claw gloves that matched the new mask, but were covered with brown fur.  Grey fur (from the original mask) was added to the purchased gloves

The white clawed gloves that came with the costume were cut apart and the claws were painted to match the purchased gloves.  These freshly painted claws were added to the shoe covers.

Ms. Gertrude McFuzz’s Tail

Ms. Gertrude McFuzz

Ms. Gertrude McFuzz

had one pathetic tail feather, or that’s what she thought. So she went to the doctor to ask for pills to make her tail grow.

The waistband on the skirt actually folds to hide the snaps for adding tail feathers to the tail. Above you can see two of the three tabs for attaching the extra tail feathers.

Below the one pathetic tail feather hides a bag containing the tail that will “grow” when Gertrude takes the pills. The ribbon on the bag is untied by a sly actor and pulled away to reveal the long tail.  The long tail is secured with two snaps. Later, when Gertrude returns to the doctor to ask him to remove the tail, he is able to “pluck” the feathers by un-snapping them.
